Qatari Diar announced today the start of construction of the first phase of the City Gate project, valued at EGP 1billion, during a ceremony that took place on site in New Cairo. The Ground Breaking Event was attended by Ambassador Salem Mubarak Al Shafi, Q atar’s Ambassador to Egypt, Engineer Khaled Abbass, Deputy Minister of Housing for National Projects, Engineer. Abdullah bin Hamad Al Attiyah, Qatari Diar CEO, and Sheikh Hamad Bin Talal Al-Thani, Director of Development and Projects at Qatari Diar, in addition to other key players in the real estate sector. The ceremony witnessed the signing of the contract between Qatari Diar Egypt, and the Consolidated Contractors Company (CCC) to implement the first phase of the project.
